Water Escape

The relationship we all nurture with the sea, and nature fully comes from within: that is something we own since the day we are born.
Something we shall actively seek and practice.
This is the SEASE attitude, the way we create and engineer our items, as well as the SEASE Experiences: authentic and tailored.

The group paddling to Tavolara
We gathered a group of 24 friends of the brand, as well as outdoor professionals so they could share the adventure: the first SEASE Water Experience takes place in Sardinia as a day-trip to the Tavolara Island. On stand-up paddles.

a magic island
As you stare at the island, you can immediately feel its energy, as if its shape called for your attention, and almost for a sort of devotion.
It makes you feel like joining it, and at the same time you can already tell everyting will be extra-ordinary in such a place. If the trip is the destination, this idea fully belongs to Tavolara.

3 miles, one SUP and one paddle
We decide to meet on a Saturday afternoon, three hours before sunset, in a place where the distance between the Sardinian coast and the Southern-Western part of Tavolara accounts for three kilometers.

Surf champion, Niccolò Porcella, getting his SUP ready
We will take the SUPs with us, with the complicity of the sun going down. The group includes two very special people who also happen to be experts of the Island: apnoea record man, Davide Carrera joins with his 9 years old son Nerò (meaning water in Greek). Hawaian-Sardinian surf champion Nicolò Porcella instead discovered the island first on a wingsuit.
Rubber dinghies are set for safety reasons, while a sailing boat also joins and a big SUP for 6 to 8 people acts as a flagship to individual boards.
We will all be wearing SEASE’s Cod-0 Shorts, as well as SEASE’s High Pressure Spray Tops to resist the wind and water after the sunset.
in the water
As we move by the coastal area so to avoid sirocco, I try to familiarize with this new means of transportation: I look for touching points with a kayak, but nothing seems so obvious. The water flowing under the table and on my face makes me feel alive, while the sunset fires up the rocks with the pink shades of granite stones.
You are part of a very special surrounding. Living the sea this way just makes you happy.
After stopping for a while, my understanding of the SUP improves. With the rest of the crew we shove off, heading towards Tavolara. The sun is about to set on the Sardinian coast, while the sirocco keeps on blowing. On the most exposed area we let the dinghies pick us up, while the wellbeing we experienced at water level continues.

landing at night
As we forget about the most critical moments, it gets darker. We decide to get back to the SUPs, and now I am on the big one with five other people from the crew.
On the Tavolara coast the sirocco blows faster and faster so to get to the beach we need to paddle downwind.
At last, the SUPs get to the sand on Tavolara: we land.
A beer and a nice dinner will be waiting for us on the ground, crowning the sensation of an unforgettable experience. One that speaks the same energy of the islands we have gained.
